Bikeability

Children in Class 3 were able to test out their bike riding skills with the help of a qualified instructor.


Bristol Zoo Trip

As part of Maths Challenge Week, the whole school visited Bristol Zoo to learn more about animals and their habitats.

 


Christmas 2008

Christmas at Stockwood Green is always a busy time! The whole school performed a nativity play, sang Christmas carols and played recorders for the service users at the BS14 Centre, met Father Chrsitmas, had a Christmas party and performed in a talent show. Phew!!


Class 3's Roman Day

 Class 3 planned their own Roman day, involving togas, a feast and lots of Roman games. Some parents and carers even came to join in too!


Class 4 Camp!

Our Y5 and Y6's have just got back from camping in the Forest of Dean.


Displays in our School

Easter 2009

As usual, our Easter assembly was a great success! We presented the Easter story to our parents and carers, then had our Easter bonnet parade. The children from Abbeywood Tots joined us, and the winners from each class had an Easter egg prize.


Football Fun!

Every Friday, children in KS2 have football training from our specialist football coaches.


Healthy Living Day

The whole school took part in a Healthy Living day in the summer. We began by taking part in a blindfolded taste-test to try out new types of fruit. We also made a healthy meal to share with everyone in the entire school - the teachers were our waitresses! In the afternoon, everyone took part in sporting activities.


Maths Challenge Week

This year, the theme for Maths Challenge Week was animals and their habitats. All classes went to Bristol Zoo during the week, so please have a look at those photos too! In this section you can find out some of the other activities that took place during the week.


Plant Week

To celebrate the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth, the whole school has been finding out more about him and the plants he studied.


Red Nose Day

On March 13th, we all came to school in funny clothes! We wore pyjamas, red clothes or anything inside out and back to front. In the afternoon, we held a Laugh Off competition in aid of comic relief. Altogether we raised nearly £100!!!


Roman Remains at Caerleon

Class 3 went to Caerleon to find out more about the Romans.


School Trips

Every year, each class goes on several school trips to enhance their learning. Here are just some of the places we have visited over the last few years.


Science Day

The whole school took part in a special activity day to discover more about our brains and what they can do.

Visitors in School

We love to invite special visitors into our school to talk to us about our topics!


Weston-super-Mare visit for Classes 1 and 2

All the children in Classes 1 and 2 went to the North Somerset Museum and Weston-super-Mare seaside to learn more about holidays in the past and present.
